Overview:
Japan is a land of contrasts and continuity, where ancient traditions and modern life coexist in perfect harmony.
This journey has been thoughtfully curated to offer a deep and transformative experience—from the electric rhythm of Tokyo to the serene sacred paths of the Kumano Kodo. Along the way, you’ll encounter centuries-old temples, dreamlike landscapes, storied cities, and the unmatched warmth of Japanese hospitality.
We’ll stay in traditional ryokans, walk through ancient forests, and explore the quiet spirituality that runs through every corner of this remarkable country. It’s a journey to reconnect—with yourself, with nature, and with a culture that leaves a lasting impression.

The Purpose of This Experience:
The Kumano Kodo is a network of ancient pilgrimage trails on the Kii Peninsula, Japan. It connects three major shrines: Kumano Hongu Taisha, Kumano Hayatama Taisha, and Kumano Nachi Taisha. It has been walked by emperors, monks, and pilgrims for over a thousand years.
The path combines mountains, rural villages, stone stretches, dirt paths, stairways, and forests. Along the route are secondary shrines, religious monuments, and historic onsen where pilgrims purify themselves. The Kumano Kodo is closely linked to the syncretism between Buddhism and Shintoism and is one of only two pilgrimage trails recognized as a World Heritage Site, along with the Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James), with which it is twinned through the Dual Pilgrim Program.
