This journey through Mexico is a cultural, spiritual, and sensory immersion. We will explore three key regions of the country—the Central Highlands, Oaxaca, and the Yucatán Peninsula—discovering their pre-Hispanic history, mestizo identity, and wellness traditions. The program combines archaeological sites, local cuisine, rituals, nature, and artisan craftsmanship. Every experience has been thoughtfully designed to help us reconnect with our roots, honor local knowledge, and foster a genuine sense of community.

Along the way, we will visit archaeological sites, traditional villages, local markets, regional kitchens, and meaningful natural landscapes, discovering the richness and diversity that make Mexico truly unique.

Summary:
Day 2 – Teotihuacán and Pre-Hispanic Cuisine
We spend the day exploring Teotihuacán, one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Mesoamerica. We walk along the Avenue of the Dead and, for those who wish, there is the opportunity to climb the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. A local guide will share insights into the worldview and traditions of the ancient civilizations that once inhabited this remarkable place. At midday, we enjoy lunch inside a volcanic cave, featuring a menu inspired by pre-Hispanic cuisine.

Day 3 – Coyoacán and the Blue House
We stroll through the cobblestone streets of Coyoacán, one of Mexico City’s most authentic and charming neighborhoods. Along the way, we visit its lively plazas, local market, and, of course, the Casa Azul, the former home and museum of Frida Kahlo. Afterwards, we enjoy a traditional Mexican lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 4 – Day Trip to Tepoztlán
We head to Tepoztlán, a charming Magic Town surrounded by mountains and known for its unique energy. Those who wish can hike up to the Tepozteco Pyramid, while others may enjoy exploring the local market, wandering through its picturesque streets, and visiting the historic convent. We will enjoy a lunch featuring regional ingredients before returning to Mexico City.

Day 5 – Xochimilco, Coyoacán Center & Folk Art Museum
We cruise through the canals of Xochimilco aboard traditional trajineras, learning about the history of the ancient chinampa system and its importance to local culture. Those who wish may enjoy traditional music during the ride. Later, we return to Coyoacán for lunch and will have the option to visit the Museum of Popular Art or enjoy free time exploring the historic center at our own pace.

Day 6 – Flight to Oaxaca + City Walk
We take a flight to Oaxaca. Once settled into our hotel, we set out on a walking tour of the city’s historic center, visiting the Santo Domingo Church, the pedestrian-friendly Macedonio Alcalá Street, the traditional markets, and the Zócalo. In the evening, we gather for our first Oaxacan dinner, discovering some of the region’s most iconic flavors.

Day 7 – Mitla, Teotitlán del Valle & Hierve el Agua
We begin the day at Mitla, a sacred archaeological site renowned for its intricate Zapotec geometric mosaics and remarkable stonework. We then visit a family-run workshop in Teotitlán del Valle, where we learn about traditional textile-making techniques and the use of natural dyes. In the afternoon, we explore Hierve el Agua, a unique natural wonder whose petrified waterfalls create one of Oaxaca’s most breathtaking landscapes.

Day 8 – Monte Albán & Artisan Rout
We visit Monte Albán, the ancient Zapotec capital perched atop a mountain, offering breathtaking views of Oaxaca’s Central Valleys. After lunch, we follow the Artisan Route to meet local craftspeople and discover some of the region’s most iconic traditions, from the vibrant alebrijes of San Martín Tilcajete to the renowned black pottery of San Bartolo Coyotepec.

Day 9 – Free Day in Oaxaca
Today is yours to enjoy Oaxaca at your own pace. Spend the day visiting museums, strolling through the Ethnobotanical Garden, browsing local shops and galleries, discovering charming cafés, or simply taking time to relax. We will also share a selection of restaurant recommendations for those who would like to continue exploring the city’s rich culinary scene in the evening.

Day 10 – Flight to Mérida + City Tour
We take a morning flight to Mérida. Once settled into our hotel, we set out to discover some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the San Ildefonso Cathedral, Plaza Grande, Paseo de Montejo, and the local markets. The afternoon and evening are free to continue exploring the city and enjoy the renowned flavors of Yucatecan cuisine.

Day 11 – Río Lagartos & Transfer to El Cuyo
We depart early for Río Lagartos, a natural reserve renowned for its extraordinary biodiversity. During a boat excursion, we will have the opportunity to observe pink flamingos, crocodiles, and the region’s impressive salt flats. We will also experience a traditional Mayan mud bath. After lunch, we continue to El Cuyo, a peaceful seaside village where life slows down and nature takes center stage.

Day 12 – Yoga & Las Coloradas
We begin the day with a yoga session by the sea, taking advantage of the peaceful coastal setting to reconnect with our bodies and breath. Later, we visit Las Coloradas, famous for its striking pink lagoons, where we will also learn about the traditional salt production process. After lunch in Río Lagartos, we return to El Cuyo to enjoy free time on the beach. In the evening, we gather for a seaside dinner under the stars.

Day 13 – Yoga + Transfer to Cancún
We begin the day with one final yoga session and a morning walk to soak in the last moments by the coast. We then make our way toward Cancún, with a stop in Mérida to relax, enjoy some free time, or explore the city one last time. In the evening, we check into a hotel near the airport to ensure a smooth departure the following day.
