Arrive in Norway’s capital on your own. Check in at the included hotel and enjoy free time to rest or explore the city at your own pace: stroll along the harbor, visit the Fram Museum, or enjoy the city’s vibrant food scene.

Day 2 – Flight to Longyearbyen, Svalbard + Embarkation
Transfer to the airport for the included charter flight to Longyearbyen, the northernmost community in the world. Enjoy time to explore the town before boarding the Ultramarine. Once aboard, meet the crew, attend a welcome dinner, and begin the initial sail through Isfjorden.

Days 3 to 9 – Exploring the Svalbard Archipelago
These days follow a flexible route to make the most of the ice and weather conditions. Possible highlights include: polar bear, walrus, Svalbard reindeer, and Arctic seabird sightings; Zodiac cruises by glaciers and bird cliffs; guided hikes across the Arctic tundra; exploring remote bays and fjords such as Krossfjorden, Lilliehöökbreen, and Magdalenefjorden; and visiting historic whaling and hunting sites.

Explora Kumano Kodo
Overview:
An Arctic expedition along the coasts of Spitsbergen (Svalbard), known as the “wildlife capital of the Arctic.” Spend several days under the continuous daylight of the midnight sun, navigating among fjords, glaciers, and icebergs, with high chances of spotting polar bears, walruses, reindeer, and seabirds. The journey combines Zodiac excursions, guided tundra hikes, and scenic cruising, with a flexible itinerary that adapts to ice and weather conditions to prioritize wildlife encounters and the most spectacular landscapes.

The Purpose of This Experience:
To experience the High Arctic in an immersive and direct way: learn about its geology, history, and ecosystems, walk across its flowering summer tundra, and navigate through ever-shifting sea ice. Each day is adapted to current conditions to make the most of wildlife sightings and unique scenery, always guided by an expert polar expedition team.

End of the expedition. Transfer to the airport on your own for your international flight.

How do arrivals and departures work for this trip? The expedition begins with an included hotel night at an airport hotel in Helsinki on Day 1. You can arrive in Helsinki at any time that day, as transfers are not included but the hotel is a short walk from the airport. On Day 2, you’ll take the included charter flight to Longyearbyen (Svalbard), where you’ll embark on the ship — in some cases via Zodiac due to port logistics. At the end of the expedition, you’ll disembark in Longyearbyen in the morning and take the return charter flight to Helsinki. The final hotel night in Helsinki is also included. Transfers within Helsinki are not included, but the hotel is conveniently located by the airport for your departure the next day.
